Seattle artist Mary Coss makes artwork inspired by life experience. Born in Detroit and raised in an atmosphere of politics, art, and spirituality she received her MFA from Syracuse University in an interdisciplinary sculpture and media department. Travel, studies, and work experience have provided a rich background in design, and public & community art. She has lived throughout the United States collecting stories and telling them through her artwork. She currently divides her creative attention between studio work, public art projects, and teaching.
